Forest boss Hughton names his team to face Watford

Ryan Yates came back into the Nottingham Forest starting line-up as boss Chris Hughton made three changes to his XI against Watford.

Midfielder Yates had missed the last two games with a recurrence of the calf problem which had sidelined him earlier on this year.

But he was back in the line-up for the Reds’ clash at Vicarage Road, with Cafu the man to drop to the bench.

Gaetan Bong also came back into the team at left-back, as Yuri Ribeiro was left out of the matchday squad.

And there was a return to the side for Luke Freeman, with Joe Lolley among the substitutes having started the midweek 1-0 defeat at home to Luton Town.

It meant the Reds would start with a back four of Cyrus Christie, Tobias Figueiredo, Joe Worrall – again skippering the team – and Bong, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Yates was set to partner with Manchester United loanee James Garner in midfield, with the latter returning to the club where he spent the first half of the season on loan.

Freeman would link up with Anthony Knockaert and Filip Krovinovic in attack, ready to support lone striker Glenn Murray.
