Boss Chris Hughton is focused on what James Garner offers Nottingham Forest in the here and now, rather than any talk about his future.
The Reds manager remains tight-lipped on the chances of the Manchester United loanee returning to the City Ground next season.
But with the young midfielder continuing to put in impressive performances in the Garibaldi, a number of clubs are sure to be casting admiring glances his way.
Garner netted his third goal of the campaign for Forest on Easter Monday as he scored a stunning free-kick to clinch a 3-1 victory over QPR.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Marcus McGuane is reportedly in talks over a permanent move to Oxford United.
The 22-year-old had been on loan at the League One outfit until a thigh injury ended his season early, with his last game for the club coming against Bristol Rovers in January.
Former Arsenal and Barcelona man McGuane has yet to feature for the Reds after making the move little more than a month ago, but made a positive impact in his 21 appearances for the U’s.
And BBC Radio Oxford Sport claim discussions are underway about him returning to the Kassam Stadium in the summer.
James Garner capped another excellent display for Nottingham Forest with a superb goal, direct from a free-kick, against QPR.
The Manchester United loanee scored from out near the corner flag on the left, with the ball dipping viciously over the dive of keeper Seny Dieng. Forest won the game 3-1 to move another step closer to Championship safety.
The nature of the goal prompted questions of whether he meant it, or was it an intended crossed which fortuitously found its way into the net?
That question was put to Garner by one of his former Old Trafford pals, Angel Gomes, who replied to a video of the goal on Twitter.

Nottingham Forest took a giant step towards ensuring they are mathematically safe with back-to-back Championship wins over the Easter weekend.
Cardiff City and QPR were seen off by the Reds as they moved 13 points clear of the relegation zone with six games to go.
And that means attention will soon turn to a crucial summer transfer window, when boss Chris Hughton will look to put together a squad capable of challenging at the opposite end of the table.
In a live recording on our Forest Facebook page, Matt Davies, Sarah Clapson and club legend Garry Birtles discussed the big transfer talking points and selection decisions ahead of the final run-in.
